The Plissé furniture collection stems from Draga & Aurel’s project to create an elegant and refined piece of leather furniture that is also dynamic, joyful and light at the same time. Starting from the two artists’ background in the world of textiles, the inspiration for the sophisticated leather and wood pleating that characterises the storage elements comes from the idea of a pleated, slatted skirt. A feminine and elegant garment associated with light-heartedness and mystery. The burnished brass of the legs and handles is paired with dark wood and provides depth and three-dimensional colour, while the leather-covered surface creates a pattern of unique shades in every piece. The possibility of freely combining colours and materials enhances the game of contrasts and nuances, embellishing any room and making these complements extremely versatile.
