Il Vanitoso is part of a series of ceramic figurines that reflect different aspects of human nature. The series show us how humans try to hide their vulnerability by behaving in a certain way. Il Vanitoso represents someone who tries to pull himself up with a rope that is attached to the ground. By putting himself before and above others, he wants to appear stronger, better, faster, smarter.
